Brief Bio
I was born in Colombia in February 14th, 1979. I received my pre-collegiate in the Colegio IDEM Braulio Mejía de Sonsón. I enroled as an undergraduate student and received the Electrical Engineer degree in the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Sede Medellín , Colombia, in December, 2002. In 2003 I was distinguished with a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (Deutcher-Akademischer-Austauschdienst\ - DAAD) for Ph.D. studies at the Instituto de Energía Eléctrica, Universidad Nacional de San Juan (IEE-UNSJ), Argentina. In 2006 I obtained a DAAD short term research scholarship for Ph.D. visiting student in the Friedrich–Alexander Universität of Erlangen- Nürnberg, in Germany, since 1st May to 31th October. In 2007 I received my Doctor degree by the Universidad Nacional de San Juan, obtaining the second highest mark Distinguished (Distinguido). In July 2007 I joined the Electrical Engineering Faculty of the Universidad Nacional de La Salle, Bogotá, Colombia, as a full-time Professor until December 20007. Since February 2008 I am Full Time Professor at the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon (UANL).
